Starting from 19th of Janurary, 2020, Chinese tourists can visit Armenia without any need for a visa and stay there for 90 days. And the same way, Armenians can enter China without a visa and stay there for 90 days. If it is a work or longer stay, then citizens of both countries should follow the usual procedures to obtain those rights.
Armenia is already seeing quite a significant growth of tourists coming from China since early 2019. In the meanwhile, China is deepening its relations with Armenia by building in Yerevan one of its biggest embassies in the region. Together with a lot of Chinese goods entering Armenia, we will see more and more toursist coming to Armenia and larger Chinese influence in the region.
