The most popular Pink Mosque (Nasir ol Molk Mosque) is a traditional one located in Shiraz. In its facade it includes extensive colored glass and is eye-catching for its five-concaved design. Thanks to the usage of many pink color tiles it has obtained the name of Pink Mosque.

The Nasir ol Milk was built in the Qajar era and is under the protection of Endowment Foundation of Nasir ol Molk. The mosque was built during 1876-1888 by the order of a Qajar ruler, Mirzā Hasan Ali.

The designers of the mosque were the Iranian architect Mohammad Hasan-e-Memār and Mohammad Rezā Kāshi-Sāz-e-Širāzi.

When speaking about historical architecture, we firstly mention beautiful arches, sculptures, stone walls and towering spires, but the majority of us don't even bother to note vibrant and bright colors. When speaking about the Nasir ol Molk, it is impossible not to mention about colors. This mosque is saturated with all possible colors of nature and its stained-glass windows richly reflect the light in its full magic. Moreover, its walls feature a magnificent and vibrantly multicolored display of decorated geometric tiles.

Nasir ol Molk is a wonderful place and you will probably never meet a mosque as colorful as this one.
