The Sevanavank monastery near the town of Sevan at the northwestern shore. Initially, the monastery was located on an island, but the fall of the water level turned it into a peninsula.
Dilijan is one of the greenest cities in Armenia. It is a spa town and health resort in the Tavush Province of Armenia. Dilijan lies on the banks of Aghstev River with a length h of more than 20 kilometers (12 miles) and at a height of 1,500 meters above sea level. The valley is surrounded by the Lesser Caucasus Mountains from the north.
Parz Lake is a small water natural reservuar lcoated in the mountains of Tavush, surrounded by dense forests. Currently it is turned into a beautiful entertainment area with a zipline, some eateries and boating.
Haghartsin monastery is nestled in a temperate rainforest on a mountainside. It is one of those spots in Armenia that feels like you are walking through a huge, unreal movie set. Traditionally, an eagle was soaring over the dome of the main building at its dedication and thus it became commonly known as the monastery of the playing (or soaring) eagle ("Hagh" means a game while "Artsin" a form of "Artsiv" means eagle in Armenian).
